The Flour Power Revolution

The King's Stone Mill offers Artisan Craft Flour & Maize (Corn) products from regionally sourced, 100% organic grains. All of our flours & meals are stone milled in a traditional fashion, using genuine 100% granite stones (i.e. we never use synthetic millstones such as the commonly used material known as corundum)* to mill your flour or corn products. Our products are: Never Bleached nor Bromated. Never "Enriched" nor "Fortified." No "Enzymes" (i.e. lab-processed chemicals) are ever used in the making of our craft flour & meal products. We stone mill using whole grains to retain the entirety of the grain's nutritional content, flavor profile, and aromatic notes of the various unique wheat & corn varieties that we offer seasonly. We are collectively elevating the artisanal nature of "wheat" from a mere mystery ingredient on product labels with little-to-no information, to transparent, local-regional, and nationally collaborative grain-based food systems. We seek to preserve the identity & seed stock of ancient, heritage, and modern wheat and corn varieties while respectfully honoring their origins. We have taken root in the fertile food infrastructure ground commonly known as the "missing middle" & look to continue playing our role in the building of local-regional food systems within the greater grain economy. Welcome to the Flour Power Revolution!
